follow the Balloon

The Mexican countryside, the “campo,” is a treasure trove of children with huge potential, but in the isolated, impoverished villages where they live there is often little hope of rising above their circumstances. We bring them a rainbow-colored hot air balloon at the break of day for an unexpected two hours of magic.

Through flights tethered by experiencedpilots and a knowledgeable, dedicated crew, children break free of the bonds of earth for the first time to see a new world, one where dreams are born, one without borders, one where curiosity blooms.

Some of these children attend school, but many must focus on survival rather than education. The dreams they have at a young age—dreams of becoming doctors, archaeologists, teachers-- slowly erode without opportunity and encouragement. From the realm of the rainbow, all things are possible.
